Disease Prevention and Treatment is one of Rotary’s causes. This aligns well with the WSU College of Medicine. Their goal is to address challenging health care environments with a focus on rural communities, Tribal Nations, and people who have been historically marginalized. Our shared goal is to endow Rotary scholarships that will support four medical students every year, indefinitely.

Bellevue Sunrise Rotary, in partnership with the Washington State University (WSU) Foundation, has established the Rotary Scholarship at the WSU of Medicine to help reduce the shortage of physicians in vast areas of the state. The “Service Above Self” mission reflects not only the mission of the Rotary Districts across the world but reflects the mission and vision the WSU College of Medicine has for the State of Washington. More information about the Rotary Scholar Program is available at the links below.
